Duties and Responsibilities - Include but are not limited to the following

• Manages and ensures successful performance of personnel responsible for purchasing, stockroom, and shipping and receiving departments.
• Establishing and coordinating the interaction between other departments and vendors.
• Manage and execute the quote and requisition process includes maintaining all records pertaining to each requisition.
• Manage the approved vendor list
• Directs material/parts planning and scheduling based on project schedule forecasts.
• Provide visibility to purchase parts delivery dates and project date needs.
• Provide visibility and manage part shortages, including coordination with Mfg planning for purchasing alternates when required.
• Process and maintain all records pertaining to each requisition.
• Support and execute the inventory process.
• Manage team to ensure shipping needs are executed to achieve schedule requirements. For Example:
• Shipping of any assets out for repair, packaging, boxing, shipping documentation.
• Box, package, and ship.
• Gathering parts as required
• Assist in obtaining the certification of parts (CofC or 8130 documents)
• Obtain for packaging, the packing list, export docs (if reqd), packaging, running labels.
• Ensure makes delivery
• Manage team to ensure stock room is managed: Examples include:
• Receiving of all assets for airplanes, customer, and inventory.
• Upon receipt inspect, correct pricing issues, and process.
• Deliver to aircraft or internal customer.
• Maintain Log "high dollar room". Keep detailed log of ownership, who received, value, when it leaves, etc.
• Process part numbers and material for WO (inst/Fab)
• Allocate same for Job (work orders) (going to consumption)
• Process unique job specific to WO (ie stab/act overhauls)
• Help internal customer - mechanics and fab that are looking for alternate parts
• Maintain material warehouse - organized and cleaned
• Maintain min level for inventory of stock items. Purchase reqs.

Material handling: loading and unloading, delivery of material

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3-5 years experience as a Materials Manager
• Computer proficiency
• Strong and sound judgement and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
